Linux on Acer Ferrari 4005WLMi

I got my new Ferrari laptop so first thing was to try if I can run any Linux live CD on it. So far it was a disaster. Kubuntu does not work mostly because of the ATI graphics card issues. Knoppix 4.0 seems to boot properly but it does not support most of the hardware. Knoppix 5.0 Cebit edition got same problem as Kubuntu, boots to blank screen. I am going to try RR64 Gentoo Live CD.
