FlyBack: A “Time Machine” Backup for Linux Desktops

FlyBack is a snapshot-based backup tool based on rsync It creates successive backup directories mirroring the files you wish to backup. FlyBack creates incremental backups of files which can be restored at a later date. It also supports limited restoration of files within applications that are specifically programmed to use Time Machine’s functionality.

Filelight creates an interactive map of concentric segmented-rings that helps visualise disk usage on your computer. It is like a pie-chart, but the segments nest, allowing you to see not only which directories take up all your space, but which directories and files inside those directories are the real culprits.

Currently it only runs on unix and KDE.
